This is very Crimson to me, and I’m very okay with that. Album whips ass. Can’t wait to see these guys with Drug Church in March.
I actually remember thinking I wish they were chunkier. Or firmer? Not sure what word I'm actually looking for. Less fuzzy. But I don't think that's a product of the guitar; feels more like the recording.
I don't have much to add to the chorus of positivity that's happening around the album. It rules and has been getting better with each listen for me. Teenage Heart might be the best song this band has written since Crimson, and I say that as someone who likes to loves all of their albums.
Yeah; it’s missing. I had it in my library prior to subscribing to Apple Music forever ago so it still shows up for me with the AM lossless version though.
I’ve been playing this record nonstop for about a week now and despite my issues with the production choices - I love this so much. Easily their best since Crimson and I wouldn’t be surprised if this ended up in my top 3 for the band’s discography. These songs just have an old school ALK3 that I’ve been largely missing.
One of my favorite bands since the late 90s and so glad they are still putting out tunes. They sound so refreshed and love how they went back to recording/writing all together in one room instead piecing it together in different locations. I hear a little bit of all their albums on this record. The biggest compliment is that I don’t change the singles already released which I listened to a ton before the album came out. It flows so well. I love the church bell chime in the intro of Break…..a little throw back to we’ve had enough
I can’t stop listening to this. Reminds me of how I felt when I first heard So Much for Stardust. A new record that feels like it has always been in the band’s catalogue. I can’t decide what song is my favorite. It keeps changing after each listen.
My only complaint about this album is that I bump hard against the AR-15/fentanyl lines in the closer. When Dan follows the first instance of those with “these lines are painful” I feel that.
This is peak Skiba and imagine if he made like another Heavens record lol At this point though I just want them to save everything for Trio. Especially as curious as I'll be to hear the next album with Atom
The tri color striped vinyl on Rise sold out, glad I picked one up. Also ordered the Urban Outfitters one yesterday
ITTC? was my intro to this band, and I still like that one a lot, but after going back through their past few -Shame and Addiction namely - it’s crazy how much this one is punching above those.
Yeah and is this thing cursed is good but this new one is the best thing they’ve done since crimson no question. Really really surprised and happy they created something that can stand with their goddamnit to crimson run this late in their career
I will do it. Crimson From Here To Infirmary Good Mourning Maybe I’ll Catch Fire Blood, Hair, and Eyeballs Agony and Irony My Shame Is True Is This Thing Cursed? Goddamnit This Addiction
Good mourning Goddamnit crimson Remains (if we count it) From here to infirmary Blood hair and eyeballs Self titled Maybe I’ll catch fire Agony and irony Is this thing curse My shame is true This addiction (although fine is a top 5 trio song)
