I like Green Day’s new album after a few listens, but this album was an immediate “fuck yeah” on first listen.
Awesome interview and look behind the scenes of the new record. Alkaline Trio, 'Blood, Hair, And Eyeballs' | The Album Story
Pre-ordered the cd too, hopefully they send it early since this leaked already. Still holding out lol
Bad Time was also used as music in Atom’s post, so it looks promising! Would love to see how they pull off playing the song live because of the dueling guitar lead and riff in the beginning.
probably a backing track. They did that with Help Me, I believe. Damn, now I want to listen to Agony and Irony. Beautiful album.
Found myself listening to this band this morning while waiting for a 7am bus home and like... I've always been aware of them but never really properly listened bar some singles like Private Eye, Stupid Kid, Armageddon, Time to Waste, Mercy Me etc. Not to mention the singles off BHAE all SLAP. Should I just start with From Here to Infirmary?
GM is often seen as thier best by many people, starting there for FHTI is a good intro. Go backwards from there for a more raw punk sound, forwards from there to see their growth.
Yeah I heard Dan mention in the interview he did I posted a few posts back that he had filmed 3 videos, but I wasn't sure if he meant to say 2 and was just thinking of the video for his song or what
I'm going to play devil's advocate and suggest starting at the beginning and working through chronologically.
technically yes but there's quite a bit of back and forth on other songs in really gratifying ways. it actually feels... collaborative not like This Addiction where Matt's songs are just drowning out Danny's
