I’m selfishly happy about this because I can’t make it to either SoCal date. So if it gets rescheduled I’ll be able to go haha
In case anyone missed it, this whole tour is now cancelled instead of postponed. Bad Religion axed all tour dates for 2020. Hopefully they will try to re-create this line-up when touring is feasible again. Was really looking forward to this one.
Good to know! Curious to see how things pan out in terms of a Chicago date if it's being booked around September/October. I would imagine booking something like Riot Fest in this climate might be easier on bands...
I'm assuming Blink is trying to reschedule for the Inkcarceration and Common Ground that same weekend. Personally I'd rather have Blink happen and put Alk/BR later in the fall but happy for anything at this point!
Here’s what’s gonna happen: Someone is going to call Skiba a Nazi. Others will join in. At which point someone else will say he’s not. Others will join in. Before we know it, the discussion will have completely devolved from anything with any sort of substance and nobody’s minds will be changed.
As far as I'm concerned this forum is a community and by all means I will continue to discourage this community from platforming nazis but... go off I guess?
I don’t disagree with either of you. All I’m saying is that - based on the way things went in the other Alk3 thread - I don’t think much is going to be accomplished. But go off I guess?
“but the white moderate who is more devoted to "order" than to justice; who prefers a negative peace which is the absence of tension to a positive peace which is the presence of justice; who constantly says "I agree with you in the goal you seek, but I can't agree with your methods of direct action;" who paternalistically feels he can set the timetable for another man's freedom; who lives by the myth of time and who constantly advises the Negro to wait until a "more convenient season." this you?
This is a very inaccurate portrayal of what I’m trying to say. The bottom-up approach clearly isn’t working. If we want to hold Matt / Blink accountable then we need to hold the publications accountable. The forum mods. This isn’t me trying to minimize what’s going on and I take offense that you would interpret it that way. If this cycle repeats where Matt just gets called out in the various forums over and over and over again and nothing changes, then let’s rethink the approach to accountability.
Have any bigger bands announced 2021 tours? I've only seen arena tours moved from 2021 to 2022. Hoping for an Alk3 tour as well in 2021 and I guess blink in 2022. Much to the dismay of a couple of tumblr weirdos.
