This cooled on me significantly unfortunately. Parts of it whip ass, but as a whole, it feels off to me. Still miss Ridley's vision

 

yeah recently got to this on my rewatch and pretty much same thoughts. feels like a string of setpieces in search of a plot that never really happens - some of the setpieces like the no-gravity acid hallway are brilliant, but almost feels more like a game script than a movie to me. kinda think Merced should've been the lead instead of Spaeny too, every time this cuts over to Kay I'm immediately more locked in because her performance is so good

 

Fine I'll zag. Still easily the best since 2.
