I'll definitely rewatch the first two and maybe check out 3 and 4 at some point before this comes out. Hell, I might even rewatch Prometheus and Covenant too. I liked those more than most.
we planned on doing a full series rewatch (excluding AvP) around the time the Aliens UHD dropped, but the news of a theatrical rerelease of Alien later this month convinced us to start with that as a proper kickoff
does anyone ever wish they’d only ever seen the first and or second movie of a series sometimes the sequels stink so much it ruins it for you
I've never seen Aliens, Alien 3 or Alien Resurrection. I saw both of the AvP movies and never plan on watching them again. Prometheus and Covenant were okay but I also don't plan on watching them again. At the very most I'll maybe watch the kill counts for Alien 3 and resurrection.
i'll consider it. probably wanna watch the other Predator films first just for a little more context/exposure (even if it's not required). saw Predators years ago at a friend's house. watched Prey when it came out and absolutely loved it, leading me to pick up the steelbook when it dropped.
Can anyone even actually watch Requiem? Just turn off your TV and gaze at the black screen for the same experience
maybe it's the more morbid, isolated tone of 3 (combined with the jarringly rotoscoped rod puppet), but i think i slightly prefer Resurrection.
Resurrection was the first one I saw as a kid and I saw it many times. Stuff like the Ripley clones or the baby human-alien are as memorable as anything in the series. It isn't a good movie, but it is a creative one.
I remember that summer our babysitter took us to see something, possibly MIB. The trailer for Resurrection played before and I was floored when I saw the swimming xeno’s.
I’ve seen the climactic ending scene of of Resurrection on YouTube before. It’s pretty so bad it’s good. Hilarious and grotesque.
do you just not like these movies? lol perhaps even better, depending on who you ask truly unwatchable, both from a technical standpoint and execution-wise
Resurrection is the worst of the franchise (excluding AVP: Requiem) but it's definitely fun and weird. That's why I like this franchise; the good films are good, and the bad films are, at the very least, interesting.
The only Alien film I've seen that I liked is the first Alien. The AvP and Prometheus duology I didn't care for, but saw them in theaters. That said I'm looking forward to this one because the trailer, cast, and director.
