finally got a chance to watch this and I absolutely loved it. fucking incredible movie. honestly, it was even better than all of the praise it received lead me to believe. Alien / Aliens Romulus Prometheus Resurrection Alien 3 Covenant I've never seen Alien vs. Predator because the only Paul W.S. Anderson movie that I will willingly watch on purpose is Event Horizon
I've never seen it - I just remember the song from the preview / movie being noteworthy enough that there was someone who did a standup routine about it around that time
I have trouble putting the 'inside baseball' stuff aside and just taking movies on their own merit, and I just can't shake the overriding feeling the entire time that I watch Covenant that it was not the story they wanted to tell / the movie they wanted to make after Prometheus - it is pretty fun just as a weird, schlocky sci-fi / horror / action movie, but I think the story is so convoluted & confusing that it's just a huge mess
Alright finally watched this and yeah it was really good. It added to the lore more than I thought it would even if it wasn’t as much as I would like (give me the covenant sequel!), it was action packed, and it called back to pretty much every other alien movie without feeling forced with the exception of Rook’s weird CGI taking me out of it and the awkward Aliens line
I’d like to get that vhs, but let’s be honest. It will sell out in 2 minutes and then be on eBay for $100
Cannot believe you don't like the original Mortal Kombat. Such a fun, endlessly quotable, feel good movie.
I've never been more real in my entire life than I am right now. "Those were 500 dollar sunglasses, asshole." "C,mon, give me a break, luv." "Okay." (cracks neck) Everyone in that film looking like they're having a blast making it. And that soundtrack. KMFDM, Gravity Kills, Sevendust before they were even called Sevendust. I'm not kidding when I say that thing was formative for me.
