Sidenote, we got the trailer for Mufasa (lol) and I haven't seen the first live-action Lion King but boy did it look not good to me, visually or otherwise
i think someone posted it here, but there's that one tweet where someone predicted that absolutely nobody would see Mufasa and it would still end up being the 6th highest grossing film of all time. just wholly uninteresting and unnecessary.
i will say one of the only pros i'm gonna give Disney at this current point in time is that both Romulus and Deadpool had maybe only 2 or 3 trailers play before the film started, whereas every other movie i've seen this summer has had anywhere from 5-6 (and when i saw MaXXXine at an AMC, there were like 9 or 10). if having that much power in the film industry is what it takes to limit the trailer run to only two of your own (disappointing-looking) upcoming movies, i'll take that over having the movie start much much later any day.
I’ve noticed at my Cinemark the more crowded/prime time shows have more trailers. If I catch a 11:30 AM show during the week if I have a day off it’s 2-3 trailers.
Haven't been to the movies in a long time. Saw this at the Alamo with their super sound system or whatever and was completley immersed from the first few space shots. This movie was gorgeous. All the set design work and the wide shots of space were great. Liked the stakes being tied to the company's exploitation. Felt like the tension was everpresent. Loved this and don't even have flaws I could name. The ending weird twist thing was greattt.
Haven’t seen either of the A v P movies but I think 3 is my least favorite of the Alien movies I’ve seen.
I haven't seen Alien 3 or resurrection, but I agree with that list if it swapped prometheus with covenant and Aliens with Romulus. 1) Alien 2) Romulus 3) Aliens 4) Covenant 5) Prometheus 6) AVP 7) AVPR
this didn’t bother me as much as the brother basically dying off screen, a xenomorph grabs him but we don’t actually see him die do we? I thought he was going to come back at the end.
