How much time had passed between end of Alien and the start of Rain's journey in Romulus? Wasn't it like 12 years or something? I'm guessing perhaps all the Xeno's that were birthed/alive after they took over the station had died by the time Rain's crew showed up, and then once Rain's crew arrived and released the facehuggers, that's when the new crop of Xeno's came along....or something

And this Rook was not the same Rook on the Nostromo, correct? It was just another iteration of him, that was on this station?

i think they addressed that in the movie, that they had been looking for the alien in cryospace or whatever for 20 years

my interpretation was all of the synthetics of the same work type look alike but have different names. it’s ash in the first one, not rook.

The ONLY thing I don't like about this is that, wouldn't the crew on the Nostromo know that he was a synth? the whole reveal works because we don't know he was, so Weyland is selling/creating synths that look identical but the crew don't know? It's a movie but yeah

we have two theaters in the small UEC chain out here. had i still been in MO, i would've signed up for Alamo Drafthouse's subscription program. damn, i miss that theater.

I assume it was in the company’s interest to keep the knowledge of a synthetic on board a secret

they weren’t on that side of the station yet. The station had 2 halves, the Romulus and the Remus

Yeah, but making them all identical just causes so many logistical issues lol, like no one who gets deployed can work on another ship that worked with that specific brand of android! just make it a different face!

also the crew on the nostromo were space truckers. it stands to reason they are not as in the know about the company synthetics program as people on the weyland testing ship lol

as many movies as there have been, we don’t really know that much about the society and how prevalent something like a synth would be in daily life or in the workforce

would be cool if noah hawley’s show dug into that some

    Trusted

When is the last time a blockbuster released by the Walt Disney Corporation has looked this good (aside from Avatar 2 which obviously looks unbelievable but thats more of a separate Big Jim thing)

    ...Is the answer Pirates 3?
