The showings at my theater are already pretty full, which is interesting compared to everyone else's lol. Might go see Friday night.
I don’t think his tastes are the exact opposite of mine but most things he lists as a negative sound like things I’m on board for.
that’s the kind of blurb I would’ve expected to be written about any of the movies post Aliens kinda sucks some excitement to see it be written about this one, which from the trailer, looks to be a real return to form visually and thematically and helmed by someone plenty capable. I’m still hoping it’ll be engaging.
Fuck. Me. That third act…..they were not lying, hahahaha. One of the most intense, craziest pieces of cinema I’ve seen on screen (mind you, I don’t watch a lot of horror films). Visually breathtaking, especially the last couple of space shots. Great use of callbacks/connections to previous films as well. I had an absolute blast with this; you all are in for a serious ride.
After his thoughts on the Dune movies, I just assume I’m going to love anything he shits on now. So I’m even more excited for this. Lol
I agree with Erlich mostly on smaller scale, indie films and he certainly has been great at promoting those I know we have generally different tastes when it comes to blockbusters
