So this show is going to be about what originally spurred Weyland to secretly order Nostromo to capture the Xeno in the original Alien?
Gotta be something where this series shows: 1. The Xeno is the apex predator among the handful they find 2. It’s the one they believe they can easily control Either one is super interesting to me.
The showrunner said this show will ignore the Alien prequel films (Prometheus and Covenant) and will be parallel to Romulus. I guess it helps it make more sense to be on earth.
‘Alien: Earth’ Review: FX’s Sci-Fi Prequel Is an Intriguingly Ambitious, Eventually Thrilling Journey Into the Semi-Known 'Alien: Earth' Review: Timothy Olyphant in FX's Sci-Fi Prequel
Referring to the two prequels? I wonder if its a case of just not acknowledging those films, or bringing in story elements that contradict what happened in those films.
Would definitely prefer the former. As meh as those two may be, I appreciated how Romulus handled the connection.
the great thing about moving back to the central time zone is not having to wait super late for this to air
Holy shit, I didn’t realize I already had FX on and I turned on my tv and quickly glanced and then had to double take because the actors, their style, some of the actors themselves and the aesthetic of the set looked exactly like Alien, like I thought Alien was on for a second before I realized it wasn’t the right actors lol
First episode ruled so hard. The production design especially in the beginning was *chef's kiss* perfect The spaceship crash scene was incredibly well done The alien ticks scared the shit out of me
the Xenomorph can eat a few billionaires... as a treat this fucking rules. best way to break in the new TV
