yeah every scene with the Xenos has been the weakest part of this show by far lol. having it in full daylight getting scratches from Wendy like a cat is just such a bizarre choice
Is it that far of a stretch though? I thought the idea of them always being obsessed and obedient to their “mother” has been a key theme. Maybe I’m misremembering.
Yea I’d like to get some more context on the 5 corporations that own the world. Either what they are in it for or how that divided control came to pass.
I am not a fan of drawing this thing out by any means but if Noah Hawley (seemingly) has plans in the works for several more seasons, I do like the idea that we could potentially get a slightly different or adjacent story each season that is focused on another one of "the five"
The kids are super frustrating. Wendy is a super genius that can do whatever is needed for the plot and they one kid just says awwww shucks all the time and wants to play with his toys.
Apparently the actor who plays Wendy is a groomer? Super disappointing, I was reading she was friends with Louis Partridge at 17 year old when she was 25 and then started dating him when he turned 18?
Hermit gets knocked out hilariously easy. He also gets over things insanely fast, just casually sitting and smiling like he wasn't almost just eyeballed by an alien and bodied by an old man. I know Mary Sue has become a misogynistic dogwhistle but Wendy is basically a god, it's pretty dumb
Yeaaaah idk. It was a rebound after last ep and the ending was very anti climactic. Thought last weeks was the series low. Fight between Kirsh and Marrow was cool. Plant monster was disappointing
Like, Hawley kept addressing complaints in interviews that the Xenomorph was acting like Wendy's pet with statements that it isn't what it seems... And it still acts like her pet up to the very end lol. I know there are more seasons planned but I expected it to not listen to her at least once? Idk. Also lol at that dude who has been just spraying the wall all season still doing his thing after Boy dismissed all non essential personnel
Some really cool concepts and ideas. A few really great performances (Kirsh and Marrow). But ultimately this fell flat unfortunately.
yeah pretty whelmed, Hawley remains one of the most inconsistent writers I know of. BK's "let's fucking go" nearly made me turn my TV off also all that buildup and none of the aliens even did anything except kill generic redshirt soldiers? cmon lol. Kirsh and Atom did nothing all season despite the actors doing great work. just a bizarre season of television
they teased it taking over a host that could talk for sooo long and it was a dead end lmao. not sure I want to wait 2-3 years to see if any of this stuff gets resolved
How it made it's way outside to the edge of the beach that quickly was dumb. It's like dawg there are multiple actual alive people inside with rifles you could have taken over.
