I think it's just keeping theme with the other posters that had like, "Run" and "Hide" on them but, yes, it's pretty dumb.
No, trust me. It's the most predictable slasher you can think of. It's amazing this was directed by an accomplished director.
Please don't say that :(((( Is the predictability factor alone enough for you to call it awful or is there more to it than that?
Almost every review I've seen is glowing. My point being it's at the very least tolerable/watchable. I'm beyond hyped for this, and will lower my expectations if necessary though. Either way it has to be better than Alien: Resurrection
Guess that makes me a bit happier about missing a screening tonight. Was Danny McBride good in this at least?
I highly doubt this is that bad. It's currently 77 % on RT. Plus this series started out as a slasher flick in space
No one has to believe me. Just temper your expectations if you're expecting a good story, engaging characters, decently-rendered xenomorphs, sensible motivations, depth, etc. Even though it was a mess, I'd take "Prometheus" over this.
I've heard from a few critics that enjoyed the movie begrudge the fact that the characters fall victim to the slasher trope of being dumb. I'm still looking forward to it.
If the plot summary on Wikipedia is true, what a disappointing way to take that story. All that talk of mythology building before Prometheus was a waste of time.
seeing this thursday @ 7 and i can't wait. unsure of how i feel about the whole movie universe and how it's being planned however. prometheus sequel/cov preq following this movie AND THEN a whole other trilogy to tie the "prometheus trilogy" to og alien. excited but more interested to see if it all actually plays out that way. i can't see Scott directing four more movies.
