I'm late but, what the helllllllll, that prologue is 100% the movie I want. Is that actually part of the movie or is it like those clips with Guy Pierce that they released before Prometheus came out?

 

Shaw better show up for real in Covenant or I will be disappointed.

 

In my opinion, the only proper way for this series to move forward would be to follow Shaw and David. Prometheus wasn't great, but it had a lot of cool ideas to build off of so Covenant really seems like a regression more than anything else. Of course this is obviously just going off the trailer so who knows, maybe there's a lot more to it.

 

On imdb she's listed as uncredited. If that prologue is actually in the movie, I wouldn't be surprised if that's the extent of her appearance.

 

That prologue was awesome! Has me really excited.

 

I immediately assumed this was standalone and not really part of Covenant within the theater version, but either way, if they find David the android, surely they must find Shaw too.

 

I thought it was confirmed there would be two Prometheus sequels? I think I that proluge may be setting up the other sequel in Covenant.

 

He did say that chronologically the next film would take place before Covenant. Maybe the prologue will be for that

 

i watched all the alien movies these past few days and holy hell AVP 2 is the most jock sci fi horror movie ever, so fucking dumb

Super mixed from what I read. I'll probably love it.

 

Haven't seen any of the other Alien movies or Prometheus, will I need to in order to see Covenant?

 

you should watch Alien cause it's a great movie. I don't think you'll need to watch Prometheus but you probably should for some added context.

 

I don't find it hard to believe this is better than Aliens. Better than Alien seems unlikely tho

 

Good to know, thanks. Though I did catch an early review that seems to imply that I'll miss a few easter eggs and not much more should I see this without watching Prometheus
