Like I said on the last page, I thought that the script issues (Damon Lindelof) held Prometheus back from true greatness. This trailer just confirms my expectations that Scott is once again bringing some hefty, breathtaking visual flair to this franchise. Here's hoping John Logan comes through with a great screenplay to match (also, somehow didn't know until this trailer that Logan wrote the screenplay here).

 

The planet they land on is the same planet Shaw/David crashed on post Prometheus.

 

I guess Shaw didn't survive the crash? Noomi Rapace wasn't in the credits at the end and unless I missed her I didn't see her in the trailer itself either. But I thought she was definitely in this?

 

She's in it briefly, but her character will have died by the time Covenant lands on the planet.

 

This seems like it was the actual prequel, making Prometheus' weird story (it isn't the same planet from the first one but it looks like it! It isn't the same ship from the first one but it looks like it!) more irrelevant.
