This somehow shattered all expectations.

 

it's so fuckin good

 

Out the gate, this is one of the best "reunion" albums i've ever heard. They were able to capture that feeling of catching lightning in a bottle after so many years. Just brimming with energy and creativity.

 

my record is out for delivery!

 

Somehow entirely missed this was happening, looking at when it was announced I guess I was on vacation. But now I’m FREAKING OUT that it’s out tomorrow so hell yeah!!!

I still have no idea how this band got by me back in the day, but I listened and loved their albums when I checked them out when this got announced, and this thing is also great. Like the First Day Back album, it’s also just pretty cool to hear something like this in 2025.

Hawk is still probably my favorite song on this on first listen through the whole thing, but overall very good. Title track and You’ve Always Been Here other initial standouts.

 

Loving this. It would hit so much differently if it wasn't going to be 85 today. Excited to dig in deeper.
