Had a dream last night that Wade personally, like, physically gave me a new song. So don't worry guys, it's coming!
I'm tired of this band being inactive. I have been dying for new music since their reunion show after Riot Fest a few years ago. What monkey's paw do I have to wish on to bring them back?
For those who are definitely going to click and be disappointed: that's a post by a random dude on reddit but I've heard several others say the same thing
I lived in St Catharines for 2 years going to school and I saw George at least a 100 times jogging the streets. I had a beer with him twice. He said years ago to me "It will happen, just when is the question". This was in 2013.
I feel like if they were to drop a new release, recording it in secret and then doing a surprise announcement/short rollout would be the way to go. Underoath’s reunion followed kind of a similar trajectory of playing shows for a while before their album finally came out, and I think not building up expectations until you can actually deliver new music is the way to go for a band like this. Drop a surprise single out of nowhere with an album announcement and people will lose their shit.
I can confirm that this is indeed true. So get hyped. I’m glad it’s finally kinda out there so I’m not the only one hyped.
Jordan Hastings' drumming on the last few albums was incredible. The weird stuff he does with hit hats and cymbals is something that I'm struggling to describe (as a non drummer I'm not familiar with the technical terms), but I don't hear it anywhere else.
His performance on No Rest, especially the verses and the prechorus, is a good example. So groovy and intense.
I want these guys to play in my hometown again, forever kicking myself in the ass for not seeing them when they did (I was 12 tho so it's okay)
This might be a hot take but... Old Crows/Young Cardinals is nearly on par with their first 3 albums imo, and is quite underrated in general.
