Just a friendly reminder to everyone to watch the performance of Happiness By The Kilowatt from the recent House of Strombo set. Fully encapsulates and reminds me why this is my favorite goddamn band ever,

 

It's such a great performance. The whole set is spectacular.

 

Have a great time! I just had the same experience and let me tell you, it is amazing!

 

Have the BEST time. I’ve seen them a number of times but something about this tour feels really special. They sounded tighter than ever in NY and looked like they were having the most fun. Excited to hear how the show was. Have fun!

 

Have an awesome time dude! I’ve seen them almost every single era of the band and they honestly never disappoint!

What opener did you get? How were our fucking boys?

 

The Dirty Nil was the opener I believe. They weren’t bad per se, but imo sounded really generic, like it could’ve been 100 other bands.

Luckily, the second AOF took the stage I forgot all about them. Man, as soon as they opened with that classic riff from Accidents, I was transported hahaha... EASILY one of the best concert experiences I’ve had in my life. It’s amazing how they still bring the same energy so many years later.

 

I'm amped for Saturday!! We get the dirty nil and glassjaw as openers.

I think if anything my initial post understated how amazing last night’s experience was. This band was probably my most listened to throughout high school and early college, and I genuinely don’t know how I would’ve made it through without their music. It really felt surreal finally witnessing live performances of these songs, some of which I listened to literally dozens of times in the space of a few days at times. And the fact that the energy was so electric, between the band’s performance and a packed room full of fans just as amped as me, made it that much more special.

 

So who am I seeing over the next 2 days!

The place was pretty dead for The Dirty Nil, I’m actually a bit surprised. They even tried getting the crowd into it saying they are from Toronto and the place went silent.

Glassjaw are killing it.

Not the best quality but overall very listenable

Glassjaw - You couldn't hear the vocals at all, so loud.

I have never had trouble hearing Daryl live so i'll go ahead and say it may very well have been the sound tech on that one.
