I realized that listening to advance songs never improved my experience with an album. Either I love it and when I listen to the album I'm deprived of being blown away in context and/or have already heard one of the best songs. Or I'm meh on it and it prejudices me on my first listen. It's hard to resist, but I think it's been worth it.
What happens if the single doesn't make the album and you deprived yourself of a major jam for a year???
I am so glad these guys are creating music again together, and I hope an album is in the works, but if it's not it's good these guys are at least on a creative path where that isn't totally outta the question. I just love this band so much. This band is like half of the reason I got into the whole thing of looking up bands and being interested in musicians and groups, I am just so happy to have them back I was talking to a friend tonight who also loves them, and if they play anywhere in Canada that is remotely doable for me, I will see these guys live and that would be ~amazing~ so there u go
I don't mind them dropping singles or small eps tbh. they all have their own projects that they obviously won't give up so I'm honestly just glad to have new aof and have future aof to look forward too

Not to sound greedy but damn I was really banking on a full album announcement today or something more, especially with them clearing out their socials and the cryptic shit. The hype felt so much bigger to me than a single with a few shows. I am grateful that they're still active and gave us Familiar Drugs at least for now.
