This clip came up in my YouTube recommendations. I think it's from the Crisis sessions. That solo is pretty rad.
It's def still coming. Dallas didn't delete the teaser weird that it was gone everywhere else tho lol
Especially with how heavily folk-influenced he’s gotten with his solo material, it’s gonna be such a huge wave of nostalgia and Deja vu when Dallas croons into my ear over a heavier riff. Exciting.
I’m so confused lol that isn’t even on any of their social media yet EDIT: It's from Reddit lol... shit's getting cryptic
Looks like it might be somebody from the band messing with us?? lol From Reddit: "11010111 = 215 in decimal. 2, 15. February 15th." the name of the account that posted the video is anon11010111
I'd offer up Daryl Palumbo, Bert McCracken and Nate Barcalow for conversation, but I do agree that he is the best. He's the only one to do it full time (of the ones I mentioned at least).
I am also a big fan of the gruff style George started doing on OC/YC and Dog's Blood. I remember being nervous about it prior to the release of OC/YC, but I actually really liked it from the get go. It adds another weapon to the bands vocal arsenal and I don't think songs like "The Northern" work quite as well without it.
Man... the phone call in sharks in danger still gets to me in 2019 "I kind of have this... Really terrible habit of asking myself all these stupid questions, right? Like what if uhh… what if there's a spot on my body that I can touch to keep my heart from beating? or like what if, what if there's this uhh... stray bullet out there that’s gonna come through my window and take me out? like what if uhh... what if there's this huge unstoppable comet that’s just gonna like, destroy the Earth and all of us? Like what... what if that’s happening right now? How can I avoid all these questions if I don't have that? Like, who is gonna be here? Why... who is gonna be there... in the hospital? Who is gonna tell me that all this is bullshit... it's a dream? Just a dream. This is not a joke. And uhh... I'll never sleep."
Sharks And Danger might top my list of songs I want them to start playing live again. Sharks And Danger White Devil Polaroids Little Girls Counterparts Black As Jet I don’t mind them playing a lot of Crisis and OCYC, those songs translate really well live. But id love to see them start to mix it up a bit.
