Judging by his band Dead Tired he certainly didn't learn to sing. Couldn't agree more, the 3 vocalists on the Crisis album was amazing. Still my favorite AOF record.
I feel like Americans don’t appreciate the consistency or his history. He got some mainstream attention but not much.
S/T has spectacular post-rock-y / 90's emo-y passages that stopped popping up around Crisis, and for that, it'll always be a special album. The production prevents it from being my favorite though.
Yeah, I definitely think the production was way better on the three later albums, and they were more refined in general. I still enjoy the self-titled album but it’s easily the one I return to the least frequently.
Crisis Watch Oot Dog's Blood OCYC S/T they're all so great though. the self titled still has 4 absolute genre classics (44, Polar Bears, Little Girls, Pulmonary)
S/T (I have a Polaroid of a polar bear tattooed on me so this is an obvious choice) Watch Out! Switcheroo Crisis OCYC DB So.... in order of release haha. There’s so little separating their first 3 LPs honestly. Can’t go wrong. Should’ve just put S/T = Watch Out!. Don’t think I could choose between the two.
