Alexisonfire on Otherness: “There’s a new sense of confidence with this band” Good read. I really love hearing how Dallas talks about the band now considering how over it he seemed when they broke up
The singles are 3/3 (aside from some vocals sounding buried - I know it’s intentional but I don’t like it lol) for me so I’m assuming I’m gonna love it.
My vinyl copy came early and I am loving this album. Feels nice to have a record not only on time for album release, but early. It's been a long time since that's happened.
not feeling Survivors Guilt but everything else on here is so good. Mistaken Info instantly one of their best, unbelievable
Listening to Committed to the Con right now and I have the biggest, dumbest grin on my face. This is so good.
This album is legit great. Might be their best since Watch Out!, but of course I've only listened to it once. Early standouts for me are Committed to the Con, Sans Soleil, Blue Spade and Dark Night of the Soul. The only song I'm a little lukewarm on is Mistaken Information.
Blue Spade and Dark Night of the Soul go so fucking hard man. Yeah this record is off the chain. Its criminal that we've had to wait years for a new album from them but I can firmly say that it delivers hard in 2022.
how's george's clean vocal intro on mistaken information? i read that it made everyone's jaw drop in the studio so i figured it would have been a highlight here but no mention of it.
He sings cleans with Dallas throughout. Pretty impressive performance from him imo, the best clean vocals I’ve heard him do personally.
I'm trying to wait until Saturday morning because I have an hour-ish drive and I figure this album's runtime would be perfect for it... but those reactions are making it harder to resist
Alexis haven't dropped the ball for one second across their slightly over 20 year spanning career. This definitely exceeded my expectations.
