    The rivalry is back on

The lackluster production holds this song back a little bit, but it’s pretty cool

    Excited to hear the album

Absolutely love the new song! She played it last August in New York (sans saxophone solo) and its been stuck in my head ever since.

    Sax solo!!! (This song rules)

Do or do not, there is no try.

This song is great - I don't hear anything production wise that's off putting at all.

this is cool and the sax is a nice unexpected touch

IMO guitar sounds muddy and tinny and the sax solo is buried behind the guitar churning and I don’t like either of those things

Yeah, the Sax solo could have been more up front, I'd agree. (Commented before I got to the end, my bad!)

Digging this first song. I Love You Like a Brother is still getting a lot of play from me. Really excited for the follow up.

Hell yes. I went to see The National at a Lolla after-show last year, I don't really listen to them but my buddy had an extra ticket and I thought ah what the hell I'll check it out. I'm glad I went because Alex was the opening act, I'd never even heard of her and I fucking loved it. Stoked for new music!

An inconsequential shift as the continents drift.

I saw her play a show with Gordi in Canowindra just recently and she played a new song, it was great. looking forward to this!

Bit underwhelmed by the first single, but I've got a lot of Lahey stock so I'm still pumped for the record.

Oh fuck yeah!! Had no idea about this, very excited. Still really bummed I missed her set at Sasquatch, hopefully I’ll be able to see her sometime this year if she comes to the US.

I’m really hoping for a North American tour soon, maybe in the fall? She was so much fun when I saw her in 2017 and was super bummed when she cancelled her show here last summer.

I’d think she’d probably hit the festival circuit again and shows in between. I feel like she’ll be making a big push on this album.

Is the Dead Oceans signing new or has she been on there since ILYLAB?

That could be a possibility. Her music definitely fits a certain summer fest vibe. She’s booked through most of May and June in the UK and Aus, so seems possible.

Last album came out on Dead Oceans too.
