It really does sound like an evolution of rocket. Except his voice is so clear and the production is just so much better than it used to be. It's beautiful.

If these two are the first Alex G songs that I've really heard and I really like them, what record should be the first one that I dive into?

 

Probably his most recent two: God Save The Animals and House Of Sugar

 

God Save the Animals and Rocket. Then you can pretty much go backwards starting with House of Sugar.

I just feel like these songs are so undeniably Rocket with a little bit of GSTA thrown in the mix. I also wonder with the accessibility of these singles if there will be anything closer to a "Near" or even a "Blessing"

He seems excessively normal and relatively private, which is honestly refreshing in 2025

 

He used to bike past me working in Philly on a daily basis, a super chiller but honestly more of a shy weirdo than he lets on nowadays i think he just likes to let the music do the talking
