Alessia Cara Band

Alessia Caracciolo (born July 11, 1996), better known as Alessia Cara, is a Canadian singer, songwriter, producer and director. She is signed to EP Entertainment and Def Jam Recordings and is best known for "Here", her debut single from her debut album, Know-It-All, released November 13, 2015. A sleeper hit, the song reached the top 5 in the United States and the top 20 in Canada. Prior to her work with EP and Def Jam, Cara was known for her acoustic song covers on Youtube. (Wikipedia)

Her album was pretty promising. She very much on my radar to see where she goes

 

I mean I'm still listening to it and she's only what..17-18? This album is what I would expect from an artist her age and I really think she can only get better.

her album was a huge let down

 

the EP was awesome, but the album was rushed and all the songs that weren't already on the EP were bland as all hell IMO. She's gonna be amazing on her third album or so.

 

Oh it definitely had its growing pains. But I thought it had a lot of promise, too.

 

Wild Things is my favourite song played regularly on the radio at the minute.

 

She's so great, I saw her live last month and she just has so much positivity and personality, so much potential to be huge

 

I'm surprised people didn't like her debut as much as me. Then again I just found her about the time her debut came out and probably would have been disappointed had I previously heard the EP songs first.

 

To me the songs that are on the album that aren't on the EP already just aren't that strong. Sounds like some were even Bsides left off the EP, but i have no idea if that's really true. She's rad and i hope she sticks around.
