Alessia Cara - The Pains Of Growing (November 30, 2018) Album

Both songs are good, but neither have that UMPH that so much of her debut has

 

@iCarly Rae Jepsen the album got delayed/moved also, if you couldn't tell haha

 

There's so much out there I forgot she was coming out with something haha

 

I think she (smartly) and her team realized that Growing Pain wasn't catching on quite as they hoped, and re-tooled the release plan and/or album itself

 

out at midnight

 

This one's great, easily the best of this cycle so far

I feel like it was really poorly marketed

 

I don't know about that. "Growing Pains" got a huge marketing and PR push and then.... kinda did poorly on the charts. She got three music videos before the album even came out, that's some real marketing $$$ right there. It's just tough these days, without a huge lead single some things get lost in the mix and "Growing Pains" just isn't quite a "Scars" or "Stay"

 

dead at "Rachel talks to Phoebe about the cat that smells" and "this is taking longer than Zelda"

but yeah that's too bad

 

This is really good. I need to go back and check out her first album.

 

She's so authentic. I think she's really special
