Yeah, big fan of the new album, looking forward to the show a lot!

 

this is good, and I like Alcest, but Neige's best works are

Alcest, I feel, lacks in certain rawness and fucked up atmosphere that I appreciate in those albums, and that he manages to convey so well - a certain insanity I would say

 

ok, so it seems Neige did not play on that P.N. album (only in the bonus tracks), so whatever... still a sick record tho

 

.neon is my favorite Neige

I think it's basically the album that started all blackgaze. And it's also extremely great.

 

it can be argued that buruzm really laid the foundation for it but yeah amoseurs/alcest is what really brought the two genres together fully

 

I think he only did vocals there? not really his work?

 

Yeah I think idk but that album rules and I think it's kinda the less than proto vehicle for the sub genre as we modernly know it

 

Lantlos is sick - Melting Sun is a fav of mine, for sure

a lot more interesting to me than, say, Sunbather

 

Sunbather is great

 

I understand the appeal, but that's one of those records than never grabbed me like it did so many people

it's good, yes - but nothing life changing or close to

7/10

 

Some people just can't praise records without putting down other records
