Frightened rabbit and lumineers for sure. Then I'll move on the deftones and Ben Harper probably Such a busy month for music!
Definitely Deftones. Also liking Ihsahn and Cult of Luna /Julie Christmas releases today. The Fareoh Remix on the Big Grams 'Drum Machine' remix EP is a jam. Also looking forward to checking out: New Tegan and Sara single Figure Of The Left Lights' acoustic album M83 Parquet Courts Lumineers The Ready Set Filter Bankruptcy from last week.
Will be checking out: Deftones - Gore M83 - Junk The Lumineers - Cleopatra Nothing screams vinyl buy for me unless Deftones blow my mind. Edit: The Dandy Warhols - Distortland Zakk Wylde - Book of Shadows II Not on Spotify so I'll probably just skip these.
M83, Lumineers and Frightened Rabbit are the big 3 for me today. I'll probably check out Woods, Dandy Warhols, Ben Harper, Lights, Parquet Courts, and Tim Hecker at some point as well
Gave everything a listen and even though I've only been through them one this weeks standout for me is Black Peaks and this is the first I've ever heard of them. I need to give Deftones another go. Never got into them but I appreciated it nonetheless. M83 wasn't for me, couldn't get all the way through. Lumineers was good but I doubt it will become a regular spin.
This is the first disappointing week for me this year. The only must listen for me has been Deftones' Gore. I'll probably end up checking out that Tim Hecker album.
The release page on chorus doesn't show anything from earlier weeks... will the earlier weeks just disappear or is there a way to go look back at them? I only ask because sometimes I would go back through the calendar on AP.net to listen to things I had forgotten about throughout the year.
Really excited to check out Frightened Rabbit, M83, The Lumineers, and Tim Hecker (I'm the worst and still haven't listened)
It's hard to describe, a whole mixture of stuff really. It's kind of a combination of post-hardcore, progressive rock, post rock and bunch of other stuff. Really unique album. I'm certain it's going to be the best debut record released this year.
