Big one for me today is Norma Jean even though I've had it for a week already. Absolutely fantastic album you should all be checking out. I'll give This Wild Life and Anthony Green a spin but neither have stuck with me in the past so my expectations are low. Already spun the singles for this week, digging the KoL track. Albums: Norma Jean – Polar Similar Anthony Green – Pixie Queen This Wild Life – Low Tides Singles: Kings of Leon – Waste a Moment Green Day – Revolution Radio Zack De La Rocha - Digging For Windows
Norma Jean Cruel Hand Will also check out TWL eventually even though I didn't like any of the pre-released songs.
Local Natives is definitely the highlight today. I'd definitely recommend giving that a listen if you weren't already going to! Also: The Head and the Heart Wilco Grouplove St Paul and the Broken Bones Bastille The Dear Hunter Okkervil River This Wild Life Teenage Fanclub Twin Atlantic
Most excited to check out clipping. but will also probably give some time to Jack White and July Talk. On the fence about whether or not to dive into Okkervil River's new one, since I'm only a casual fan at best. Also gonna listen to the new remaster of The Beatles' Live at the Hollywood Bowl that Giles Martin did. I listened to the "A Hard Day's Night" that was previewed a couple weeks ago and was pretty impressed with what he managed to do with the audio.
Doe — Some Things Last Longer Than You (RIYL: Potty Mouth, Special Explosion, All Dogs) Ian Sweet — Shapeshifter (RIYL: Palehound, PWR BTTM, Football Etc.)
Norma Jean! Also Dwell's new record Innate came out today and it's the best metalcore record of the year so far. (FFO: Dillinger Escape Plan, Advent, The Chariot)
TWL I will go pickup after work. I am curious about Grouplove, lost track of those guys after their first big record they had. Does Light Years have a physical release?
Lots of stuff I'm interested in but I heard a by of M.I.A's release and it sounds super great. And Anthony Green is a big one for me
New Norma Jean is great, haven't listened to them much since Redeemer, need to go back and see if I missed anything. I still need to check out Anthony Green, This Wild Life, and The Dear Hunter (which isn't on Spotify today for some reason).
Twin Atlantic for sure. Never been able to get into This Wild Life, however I will give Norma Jean a shot. I haven't listened to them in a long time.
Really enjoying the new Bastille album. Will also check out Norma Jean and This Wild Life. A lot of good singles too. Green Day, Regina Spektor, and The Fray.
This weeks releases should keep me busy for a while. - Local Natives - Anthony Green - The Head and The Heart - The Dear Hunter - Norma Jean - This Wild Life
Woah what a nice day! Some of them I've already heard and fell in love, but I forgot about new This Wild Life, Twin Atlantic, and I've been holding it down with Norma Jean, there's so much to listen to, and I still want to get more TDH after checking it out yesterday! Anthony Green's album is my TOP this week though, I've listened to it A LOT!
Dear Hunter Act V did not disappoint, if you were not a fan of Act IV you should still listen to Act V, very dark record. Anthony Green's solo record is real good too Norma Jean too!
