At least from what I've seen real quick, Regina Spektor, bon iver, mowglis, gungor, pixies, banks

  4. Yellowcard and Microwave win the crown for this week. The Bon Iver record is enjoyable but lacks that special something that the last two had. I'll also give Boston Manor another listen but my first listen was "I've heard this before, and better." Excited to try out Regina Spektor, Skinny Lister, and Big Jesus!

Already listened to Nicolas Jaar - Sirens and it's really good as expected.

    Will listen to
    Bon Iver - 22, A Million
Craig David - Following My Intuition
    Jenny Hval - Blood Bitches
Regina Skeptor - Remember Us To Life
    Slaves - Take Control

Might check out Opeth - Sorceress and a few other stuff in the music forum I'm not familiar with.

Also out in the last week worth checking out
    Danny Brown - Atrocity Exhibition
Francis And The Lights - Farewell Starlite
Trna - Lose Yourself To Find Peace

Throw in singles from The Chainsmokers & Phoebe Ryan, The Weeknd and Mura Mass & A$ap Rocky. Some day.

I find the new Bon Iver album pretty unlistenable. I hate all the vocal effects on it. I guess as I just think of how good his voice is without them and it bugs me.

Conor Oberst album is incredible. Microwave is very decent.

Will give Yellowcard a listen and possibly Craig David.

    Yellowcard
    Microwave
Slaughter Beach, Dog (Jake from MoBo's side project)
    Bon Iver

Definitely don't sleep on Slaughter Beach, Dog. With such a heavy release day, I feel like it will fall through the cracks. Good album, a little different than his tracks on the new MoBo album.

Don't really get the beef with the vocal effects on the Bon Iver album. He isn't using them to "help" his voice or whatever. We already know his voice doesn't need help. He does it like Kanye or Nate Ruess to treat his voice as another instrument. I personally enjoy that kind of work.

Excited to spend some time with YC and Microwave later today when I can actually sit down with them.

Been listening to Microwave for the past week. Glad I got my preorder early so I can now focus mainly on Yellowcard and Bon Iver.

Yellowcard say goodbye perfectly on their new album. As a long time fan I'm thankful for this.

Loving this YC album, especially the back half.

Checking out The Mowgli's new album. 1 track in and it's already super catchy!

I've got a pretty slow day, so I'll be checking back in to see what everyone is listening to later.

Bon Iver and Banks are the only must listens for me.

Have already heard Danny Brown, Mowglis, Jenny Hval, and Pixies and all are p good.

Otherwise, I'll check out Yellowcard, Regina Spektor, Solange, and Gungor at some point.

Under release dates on the site, it says October 14. Same thing on NPR where I believe they are streaming the album.

That new Metallica song is straight fire. One of the best songs they've done in two decades.

    Will be listening to:
    Yellowcard :verysad:
    Mowgli's
    The Growlers
    Danny Brown
    Microwave

The new Bon Iver is so awful. I don't understand how you follow an album like his last one with something like this mess. I tried hard but couldn't get past the 5th song.

For the love that is all and holy check out new Microwave. It's gonna be such a dark horse and sneak into a lot of top tens this year.

Not liking the response for Bon Iver so far, but I'll check it out. I've only listened to his first record casually. YC of course. Slaughter Beach, Dog since I love Mobo, and Danny Brown.
