It's Wednesday today.

 

I cannot wait for the new TSL. They’re one of my all time favorite bands and Will Yip absolutely kills it on everything he touches. I have high hopes.

Wanted to ask about that today as well, what the fuck is the deal with those compilations, feels like it's not anything official, 1/3 of my radar was bombed with those


Also, what an overwhelming day! I only started with MSC after midnight, Wednesday is another important to me (but obviously I have my priorities with bands I've been listening to for over 20 years). Need to make notes for later.

This Motion City Soundtrack album might be the best of the career and is at the very least a close second to Commit This. I said what I said.

It’s weird right? I do not want or need to listen to these playlists haha

 

I think I may be in a mood. I found a lot of today's new releases underwhelming and disappointing.

• Arrows in Action (I think I've Been Here Before) -- Top-notch pop-rock.
• Castle Rat (The Bestiary) -- Wonderful doom with an old-school heavy metal flair. The cover should tell you everything you need to know.
• Wednesday (Bleeds) -- Indie rock with a little noise & fuzz.
• Motion City Soundtrack (The Same Old Wasted...) -- It's MCS, so it's really good. Hasn't hit me like some of their other albums.
• Vanna (Time is Violence) -- Quick, little metalcore EP. So glad this lineup is back together. Mid-2000's style.
• Biffy Clyro (Futique) -- Catchy alt-rock. These dudes just have something that I'm unable to put my finger on, and I like it!
• TRSH (String Theory) -- Emo. It's got the jangly guitars.
• Stoned Jesus (Songs to Sun) -- Stoner metal. It's fine.
• Paradise Lost (Ascension) -- Doom. Eh. I dunno. It's more of the same. It's good.
• Many Eyes (Combust) -- Meh.
• I Prevail (Violent Nature) -- I do not think this is good.
• nothing,nowhere. (will it emo, vol 1.) -- A collection of covers.

Incredibly stoked for vanna. Wish that revival got more hype.

 

True, it's gone - and makes me think it was indeed uploaded illegaly or something (at least my release radar is free of such entries now, whether they've been deleted I'm not sure)

 

This is absolutely WONDERFUL. For some reason it gives me the vibe of The Gaslight Anthem doing hardcore.

 

Check out their last EP too! It’s what got me hooked on them. So good
