Pale Waves Album drags a little in the middle and could lose a couple of tracks but overall some really good songs
Thrice was good! Hoping to make it to their signing at Donut Friend in LA tomorrow. Really liked The Dirty Nil and.. I was not expecting that sound from Good Charlotte.
Holy Fawn's record reminds me of a blend of Opeth and Sunny Day Real Estate which sounds weird now that I'm typing it. But the record is amazing.
Echoing the disappointment on the new Thrice. Much more of over-treded waters, and lyrically Dustin’s weakest showing by far.
I like this a lot but I am not sure if I would have picked Mastersystem to compare them to. Mastersystem is much more a reverb drenched 90's throwback sound.
Good Charlotte's Generation Rx review should be posted today. Sneak preview: I enjoyed it and I think they are inching even closer to making their best album.
First few listens to Thrice and I really like it. Some great guitar work as always, appreciate the different tempos and moods, and thought they incorporated some electronic elements well - even if simple (e.g. Only Us). Admittedly the lyrics were a bit more direct than usual for Dustin, but I enjoyed them for what they are.
I saw Fit for A King's new album show up on the new releases thingy on Apple Music and Spotify and I was like eh let's see. Holy smokes this thing is a BANGER in the truest sense of the word. This thing is making it's way onto my workout playlist.
