Damn y'all, I'm gonna have to talk to Record Union, because my Visibly Clammy EP is not up on streaming services yet for some reason. Would love if anyone gave the 5 comedy songs a listen over here:
All Pigs Must Die Cryptic Fog Dawn Ray'd Gnaw Left Behind Ne Obliviscaris Might check out Julien Baker to see what all the hype is about. New Brian Fallon single is also pretty dope.
Pretty standard this week: Weezer was fun but not as good as their last two records Slaughter Beach, Dog keeps getting better Julien Baker really taps into something special The Used is a waste of time besides "Over and Over Again"
I still have to check out loads of new albums, but as for today Julien's Turned Out The Lights was probably my most anticipated this year - didn't disappoint! Also highly anticipated would be the new LP from Slaughter Beach, Dog, but I'm waiting with my first spin, took some free time for new Weezer and a few singles that came out today (The Dear Hunter, Lucy Rose).
There's new Small Leaks Sink Ships! is anybody a fan? I loved their album from 2007, didn't know they have put out anything after that EP later on. Just listened to one song, sounds like Modest Mouse.
I actually stayed up the whole night until it came out and listened to it on my headphones with just the rest of my energy hah ;d
Thanks for posting this, very recently got into both JM and RK so I'm looking forward to checking this out! Also listening to Weezer and The Used today. The thread def scared me as well but I'm a longtime fan so let's give it a try!
Hahh, I also thought about Pistolita for a moment while writing my post about SLSS and about how does it sound like, what a coincidence ;d
For all you Julien Baker fans out there, The Sound and the Story podcast is doing Sprained Ankle today...should be a great listen!
Intrigued about all the negative comments here about the Used record - this is easily the most interesting stuff I've ever heard from them, but I'm also not really a big, longtime devoted fan. I really like the variety, though the production is a bit iffy.
Haven't seen anyone mention the new Hotel Books album, Equivalency. Powerful record, definite recommendation. also gonna for sure check out Julien Baker and the Used.
