I’m still holding out hope they’ll do a club tour one day with a little more emphasis on the early years and a better Robby to John ratio. Maybe when they’re 70z
Yooo, I didn’t know there was a new Mannequin Pussy single. And the album’s got a release date now, nice! Patience is one of my favorite albums ever, so I’m excited for this one.
I seriously blacked out after Blink and i’m in a weird place where all other music is irrelevant. Everything else is in a holding pattern right now.
Just make a playlist if all the albums you want to get back to - it’s been working for me to keep track of it all
Kinda sucks that it's gonna get labeled as a single everywhere because it's 3 songs & 11 minutes but Halogens put out an EP on Tuesday, we'd love to hear your thoughts if you decide to listen! We have a double EP release show in a few weeks with Sucker Punch in Asbury Park, their EP came out today as well as singles from a ton of our close friends. Today's release day is STACKED but if you decide to give any of us your time we appreciate it tremendously
Whether to label as a single or EP in my list is my great struggle! Lol. I don’t like how Spotify groups them sometimes, but maybe that’s up to the artist/label who gets the music on there. I’m not sure how it works. I have to dig sometimes to figure it out and even then I get fooled, ha. The 3 songs rule, btw. Halogens is such a very consistently good band from everything I’ve heard. Gave a good bit of time to the last album. Definitely recommend to everyone here.
Blink of course but Capstan released a new single today and I must say - Capstan is one of the most overlooked and underappreciated bands out there. This new single is more hardcore which isn't my favorite but they are such talented musicians that no matter what style they do the result is high quality.
Unfortunately Spotify now throws anything that isn't an LP into Singles, what can ya do?? Here's a good description though, basically, because it's under 30 minutes & has 3 tracks, it's gonna be called a single. If we added a silent intro track that was 1 second long, it would be labeled an EP because it has 4 tracks. Rules are fucking stupid. Thank you for the compliment, we loved the full length too,& love these 3 songs even more
I know there’s a lot going on today, but I can’t recommend the new Teenage Halloween album enough. They’re insanely talented.
Everyone I talk to that knows Capstan is obsessed with them. My boss is in his 40s & saw them open for Silverstein & became a huge fan immediately. Kinda feels like they're currently stuck in this "your favorite band's favorite band" role, which sucks, cause they're fucking incredible. Another one of our best Jersey friends we've played with a ton, big time agree please give them all the love
That last Capstan album was so fuckin sick. I felt like they finally put together a record front to back I loved. The previous stuff there was the highest highlights, but a lot of songs I didn’t care for. But SEPARATE I was ripping regularly start to finish driving way too far to work every day for a while there. Probably looked like a maniac driving while trying to air guitar and drum to that chaos.
I'm really bummed that the Callous Daoboys EP is only three tracks, with two of them that had already been released for a few weeks now.
Floor Space has a new album out today if anyone wished the Tony Hawk's Pro Skater soundtrack was longer!
Is Knuckle Puck gross? I feeeeeeel like there's been some bad vibes around that band but i can also be very easily confusing them with one of the other 2847293 warped tour bands lol
In 2022 Joe mentioned on stage that he recently had COVID & it wasn't that bad, & I think it was interpreted by some as downplaying COVID. I personally don't think that was his intention, but, gray area. They've kicked bands off of their tours in the past for doing shady shit
I think this is the craziest EP they’ve ever written, they’ve never done something like this before. They tried not to take themselves too seriously with this one, and they really pushed ourselves on this EP. This is their heaviest yet, they really matured their sound with this EP, and I think this is gonna be a gamechanger for the genre.
The stars aligned with Blink's new album releasing on the same day I fly out for WWWY and will see them tomorrow. Really looking forward to just soaking it in all through the 2 hour flight. Real core memory potential which is rare at 36
