Tony Clark from Prawn also released a solo album today called Dyed In The Wool. Produced by Rob Freeman and mixed/mastered by Greg Dunn. A lot of the Prawn guys helped withe the arrangements too so unsurprisingly it sounds a lot like Prawn. Pretty solid stuff if you’re into them!
This cant swim EP has Sum 41 & Rage Against the Machine vibes IMO. Really looking forward to Thousand Below next
I'm a week late but some friends put out one the best mathcore albums of the decade. Their previous record The Sanity Universal is just as incredible but this album is a little more focused and features a new rhythm section. Seizures - Reverie of the Revolving Diamond RIYL: The Dillinger Escape Plan, Botch, Converge, Eighteen Visions
Just checked out that cute is what we aim for song and you are correct, just an old demo. First line "you face is a bit too MySpace" lol
October is proving to be a pretty strong month so far, and next week is a big one too! TDWP Cursive Tony Clark Can't Swim Big Thief Allah-Las Julien Baker Erra also dropped a pretty cool single, a cover of You Think I Ain't Worth a Dollar... by QOTSA
Holy shit...I've never even listened to TDWP but 6 tracks in this seems on course to be my Album of the Year...I'm late to the TDWP party if their older stuff is like this..
Chris Farren and Cursive for me. But thanks for the heads up to everyone about the Prawn solo stuff too. Listening to CF, it reminds me how much I hope for some new Antarctigo Vespucci again soon too.
Yeah, love this record. TDWP, Can't Swim, and catching up on some stuff from the last few weeks for me.
This is also out today if you're feeling Halloween-y. Includes a cover of the Ghostbusters theme by Punchline:
