It seems to be getting almost universal praise, even from the publications that were once too cool for the band. And the praise is completely deserved. This is one of those albums you’re going to remember for years. Groundshakingly good while being an almost uncanny reflection of the time we live in. I welcome everyone to the fan club; there’s room for all. William Ryan Key’s new EP is also out today, which also gets my full recommendation. New album today from Elena Tonra, lead singer of Daughter, under her new solo project called Ex:Re. It only was announced this week, so news didn't get around much, but the single "Romance" was so good, can't wait for the whole thing. It basically sounds just like Daughter.
Never got into 1975. I tried with both albums and always couldn't stand them. I'll check this new one out because of all the praise it's getting so far. I'll also be checking the new Jeff Tweedy album out.

Nachmystium Pyralis Sarah Longfield Slim pickings this week for me. Might check out The 1975 to see what all this hype is about.
I've been waiting on the new Mae album most of the year. I'm actually part of the group vocals at the very end of Kaleidoscope.
I’ll listen to the new AFI song probably once this morning and then it’s onto The 1975 for the foreseeable future. It’s funny - usually I would be more excited about a new AFI song over a band who’s leak I’ve had for a week but cmon..it’s The 1975

Digging new Mae. Only major criticism is the last track. For me, albums live and die by their opening/closer. Super bummed by track 11 choice. Probably would resequence and make that the intermission or something.
The 1975 Windrunner Mae (eve though I really didn't like that ep) Monasteries (if you like tech deathcore, Id recommend) Alessia Cara William Ryan Key New Oh, Sleeper single and Born of Osiris (I think, that could have been last week and I'm just behind)
The 1975 is beyond brilliant. Haven't been this excited for a release date since MCR's The Black Parade. Also, look out for my review of William Ryan Key's new EP today. Enjoy the new tunes, everyone!
If you're in the market for something in the vein of a Millencolin/Green Day hybrid, check out the new album from The Friday Prophets - In the Key of Sublimation. Swedish pop-punk perfection.
TYTYTY for mentioning this, I wouldn't have realized. Can't wait to check this out. William Ryan Key as well for me today.
