Light week but two big ones for me - Treaty Oak Revival (emo-tinged country rock) and Moron Police (poppy, quirky prog).
Happy Friday folks! Plenty of new stuff out today to enjoy. For a more extensive list of new albums and EPs than what's already listed in the main post, you can check out my release schedule spreadsheet which includes stuff released so far in 2025 and currently beyond as far as May 2026. It also includes stuff that's expected and/or speculated for release with a supporting source link where available. • Moron Police (Pachinko) — My most anticipated album for this year. Absolutely incredible, RFK-brainworm-like catchy, mind-blowing prog. Their last album Boat on a Sea is one of my favorite albums. • Blut aus Nord(Ethereal Horizons) — These guys are able to be pretty prolific without ever really sacrificing quality. Epic, dissonant black metal. • Valiant Hearts (Hidden Realms) — Vocalist from Galleons’ other post-hardcore band. Swancore-ish and catchy. • itoldyouiwouldeatyou (We Were Having Such a Nice Day) — Good emo. • Equilibrium (Equinox) — Symphonic, folk, metalcore. Their sound feels very large. • Excide (Bastard Hymns) — Really good post-hardcore.
Hope everyone had a good Thanksgiving! Excide - Bastard Hymns Petey - The Yips (A Case Of -- extended edition)) Sex Mask - Body Broker EP Teenage Wrist - Dazed (2025 Remastered Edition) Singles: All American Rejects, All Get Out, Buzzcocks, Cardinals, Future Palace, Rachel Chinouriri, Silvertwin, TRAITRS, Upsetter, Weedpecker
I've been listening to Don't Touch My Soul by Sahaji. Imagine if all of Britpop was put into a blender, then reinterpreted by 2 brothers from Japan. It's a whole lot of fun, even if the Oasis influences aren't exactly subtle
