Yeah, the holiday got today’s releases looking bare. There’s been such a strong run that it’s not a bad thing to get better acquainted with some of the last few weeks of stuff.

The new Airlands EP - The Crane EP is really good. I really like the song 'Only Just Begun'

 

It came out in September, but I just came across it: Thumpaverse by Thumpasaurus is knocking me on my ass. Not sure if anyone remembers the band Dogs Die in Hot Cars, but this band is throwing off major DDiHC vibes in the best way possible. Super weird but super catchy. RIYL: DDiHC, Devo, Battles, The Darkness

*In Things That Annoy Me for $200, The Tea Party decided for their new album that they would take the songs from their 2019 Black River EP, add a bunch of new songs, and then promptly only release it in Europe despite being a Canadian band. The new songs they collected in an EP called Sunshower and made the EP digital only for the rest of the world. Because I prefer the album (which has bonus covers not on the EP), I had to take the roundabout method of Googling the album on Spotify and using the web version to link the album to my playlist. Such a stupid way of doing things.

 

I don't comment my thanks enough but these posts are super helpful! Thank you.

 

I like Zach's posts because stuff on my list tends to be on there and I don't know if Zach actually listens to all that stuff or just compiles a release list, but I'd like to believe it's the former which makes me feel better about my listening choices.

 

Meadowlark is some cool indie pop that came out with a new album. Haven’t listened yet but I’ll check it on Monday
