Albums in Stores – Nov. 19th, 2021

This is a weird thing to admit...but I messed up when I released my second album back in January. I'm very thankful that many of you checked it out, that Jason let me advertise the album on the site, and that @paythetab wrote a dependably great review for it. But looking back, I realized that the album was rushed and underdeveloped; it was recorded in just 5 days in Sep '20, finished by Nov '20, then released in Jan '21. For an album titled Development & Compromise, it was a little heavy on the compromise. And for those of you who listened because you were genuinely fans of my first album, Unfall -- I think I genuinely owe you an apology. I asked you to listen to and support a sophomore release that hadn't received nearly as much time, care, and thought as my debut had, and it showed. Thankfully, my producer allowed me to return to the project, fleshing out the themes by recording a few new songs alongside beefing up the original 11 songs with new ideas, fuller sounds, and a longer, more careful mixing process. The end result is my true sophomore album, honoring the foundation I built with Unfall, and I hope you'll give it a listen.

If a 15-song album is overwhelming (or if Adele already has your punch card for the day), I'd love for you to at least check out some of the new-new tracks like "Saturday AM" or my heaviest song to-date, "Interrogate the Fantasy." And if you like what you hear, maybe save the rest for later? Either way, I'm grateful for however many seconds of your time that you give me (even those spent reading this post), and I'm constantly overjoyed by the pockets of friendship and fandom that I've been able to find within these forums.
