I checked out Kacey Musgraves for the first time. What a fun listen. I imagine this will be in rotation for a long time. Also looking forward to checking out the new Frankie Cosmos LP.

Yeah, seriously everyone listen to Kacey Musgraves today, even if country isn’t usually your thing (it’s not mine either and this is my favorite of the year so far).

Kacey Musgraves is sooo good. Album has some psychedelic little pieces to it in a couple songs, some great base lines, and of course the usual thoughtful lyrics and flawless vocals she's always been known for.

Side note: Listening to the first couple songs, I got a deja vu feeling of an artist I haven't listened to/thought of in 10+ years...Cady Groves. Anyone remember her? Simple acoustic country style songs, only released a couple EP's before turning to pop recently. She wrote some good tunes, but there's a similarity in their voices and it's super weird how the brain can recollect on something unthought of for so long...

The Manchester cover and My Epic. Besides that, this'll be a catch up week!

I must have missed the boat on Punchline. I check them out with every release and it's just so generic.

Major Murphy released their debut album today. Some good Real Estate-ish indie pop rock.
