Happy Friday, my people!
Don't have much time to listen today, so Simple Creatures and Ty Segall for sure. Didn't know LA Guns was still around, but I could check it out ha
New Free Throw is great. The Maine’s new album is absolutely incredible. Still have to listen to Laura Stevenson and Simple Creatures.
Gonna check out: Billie Eilish, Simple Creatures, Whitechapel, Free Throw, maybe I Prevail, and Ill prob check out a few others that I don't really know but keep seeing people list. Singles: HAVE HEART, P!nk, I the Mighty and Tallest Man
Billie Eilish – When We All Fall Asleep, Where Do We Go? I Prevail – Trauma The Maine – You Are Ok (already halfway through and loving i) Most importantly for me, my band, Tightrope, released our first single "Cold Bones" on Spotify (and everywhere else) today. I don't love doing the self-promotion thing, but I think some of you might actually dig it. Doesn't hurt that it was mastered by @bradsonemanband either! Would love to hear what you guys think!
FYI - The new Have Heart single is an old b-side from their 2008 album that's been online before and is getting a re-release as a part of the B9 Mystery Box. Thought it sounded familiar when I gave it a stream.
Damn, I love the song and had never heard it before, so either way I'm happy, but wish this was confirmation they were going to be making new music.
Gang Of Four Lion Babe Ty Segall (does this guy ever slow down?? LOL) Really wish he'd make a new Fuzz album! White Denim
There's also a band called Mess with a new album that sounds like Kississippi if you're into that sort of thing.
Just finished Simple Creatures and it was...underwhelming. 'Lucy' is the only song I think I'll be returning to. Excited to check out Free Throw, Owel, and Laura Stevenson. And, of course, The Maine. Gonna get stoned and light some candles after work tonight and blast it for my first listen.
