Hey everyone, my band put out a new song called Sands of Time. It's about living life to the fullest before the sand runs out of the hourglass. It won't be everyone's cup of tea but you never know! RIYL: Killswitch Engage, Trivium, and Parkway Drive.
Blindside released a heavy, but melodic, new single today called "Dead Weight" via Wasa Recordings. I'll also be checking out the new Anberlin w/ Matty Mullins re-recording Nevertake, and A Day To Remember's Big Ole Album Vol. 1. Hope everyone has a nice Friday and an even better weekend ahead!

SO MANY GREAT RECORDS! Where do I even begin?! I also want to uplift a fantastic post-rock/folk band here in North Carolina called Slow Teeth. They released their debut EP today and are opening for Explosions in the Sky in Raleigh on 3/23. Such a talented trio! (Shameless plug: check my interview with them if you dig their sound)
The songs are so good, for me they could probably throw anyone up there as vocalist and I’d be interested in it. This is like the third or fourth rendition of this album between original, live and re-recorded or re-released, and I’m not tired of it. That early run of Anberlin albums is as strong as any other bands output IMO. Listening now and enjoying it. I can see where those special moments on the original are missing, but then you get this different take on it with its own unique moments.
Playing it through.. it's just missing that thing. It's not terrible and I appreciate his effort for sure but I agree, it's just not doing it for me. I couldn't even go to their tour when it came to Los Angeles because I knew it just wouldn't hit the same.
