It's a weird time for releases (and everything else) right now. That said, I'll be spinning new singles from Purity Ring and Hayley Williams (ft. Boygenius!!). Any suggestions for what to listen to would be welcome, honestly. I have a lot of time to discover new stuff and will listen to anything across the spectrum.
The Empty Country record comes out today and it rules! The Weeknd’s record rules so far as well Reminder that Bandcamp is waiving their artist fees today, so artists will receive the full amount of what is paid for their releases on the site! Great way to support the artists you love in these uncertain times. The new releases from Person L and Miss New Buddha were a pleasure to throw money at.
Rocking the new Eliza & The Delusionals EP today. They’re an Australian indie/dream pop band that writes some really catchy songs. I recommend the sing Just Exist a great intro. I love the buildup through the entire song, and it almost feels like it should be a part of the Life is Strange video game soundtrack. RIYL: Daughter, Moaning Lisa, cool build ups, and awesome Australian female fronted bands
Really thought the Weeknd was next week. Amped to wake up to see its out today. Will be on constant rotation.
Check out the new Sea Wolf. Awesome indie/folk band with a wonderful singer. Their other albums are all fantastic.
EP: Jenn’s Apartment Giants at Large (unreleased demos and acoustics) Singles: New Found Glory Broadside FigureItOut Refractions Sawce Standards Gutter King Vaines
Hey thank you! This is a pretty gorgeous album, I'm enjoying it. I checked this band out and you're right on Just Exist, it very much feels like it should be on the LiS soundtrack. Really good stuff.
I second this recommendation! I was coming in to make sure this was mentioned. Sea Wolf always delivers. I am enjoying this album so far! Also enjoying the new Weeknd album and Alkaline Trio ep. Stay safe everyone.
Yumi Zouma already released but it's great. The Fizzgigs (just based off of their name) but it's some pretty decent pop-punk. I work for an arm of The Grand Ole Opry so I'll probably check out Kelsea at some point.
Colins Phil Eye Flys Gouge Away Heaven Shall Burn Hyborian Kingdom of Roots Modern Rituals Myrkur Neck of the Woods Nite The Acacia Strain
The guys from Just Friends/Grad Life made a record that sounds a bit like early blink and it rules. Highly recommend!
