This is what being a Weezer fan is unfortunately all about.

You might get a new classic like EWBAITE or White. Or you might get “I don’t think I can get through this” like Raditude and Hurley.

I haven’t loved any of the Black Album singles, so my expectations are low. Starting my first listen now.

 

I had to listen to Pinkerton to cleanse it out of my system.

Just noticed that Laura Jane Grace has a writing credit on Byzantine from the Weezer album...pretty cool.

Weezer haven't taken themselves seriously...ever? So I kinda like their dorkiness in trying out cheesy stuff...

 

Masked Intruder is fucking GREAT. Potty Mouth is also terrific! Check out "22" if you're unfamiliar with them. Female pop-punk/power pop. They're excellent.

Saving Pkew Pkew Pkew until I throw on my cans and drink beers on my couch at home. I feel like that's how they'd want it, especially for a sad dad like me.

EWBAITE & White are career highs, legit great albums, and my favourite post-‘90s Weezer records next to Maladroit. What we’ve gotten since makes it so, so frustrating to like this band.

Hand Habits - Placeholder is officially out today. Seriously check it, it's good.
