Dan + Shay - Obsessed ...if you like Pop-Country then I would definitely recommend this.

Not much else for me so far apart from the new ADTR and Moose Blood singles being up on Spotify.

Feel like the new Maren Morris album is going to be huge. That's my top pick for today.

Literally nothing for me this week. Kind of a come-down after the insane string of high-profile releases from the past couple weeks (Aaron West, Saosin, Real Friends, The Hotelier, Modern Baseball, Tiny Moving Parts, etc.). Although...

    NEW LONELY ISLAND ALBUM!

I'm probably going to wait until after I see Popstar to listen to it, though. Technically it's the soundtrack to the film so I want to hear the songs in the context of the film before listening to them on their own.

It's the Pop-Country album of the summer. So catchy.

You guys should check out Hero by Maren Morris, also out today and also a very catchy pop country (emphasis on the pop) album.

I'll do that. I like a little pop-country in the summertime.

I got to be an extra in that film last summer as one of the concert goers. Hearing the songs out of context is still lots of fun but I know what you mean

Strokes EP obviously. I'll give Tegan and Sara a try, always have enjoyed them. Whitney has been getting crazy buzz around Chicago, being a fan of their previous band I'm excited to hear what they have going on.

Train Does Led Zeppelin II sounds horrifying on many different levels.

EDIT: Whitney album is very enjoyable.

Tegan and Sara, Gates, and Vic Mensa are the only ones I'm definitely checking out. Not as much as last week, but I'll spend more time with some of those record.

Tegan and Sara and Beartooth for me today. Train Does Led Zeppelin II is the weirdest thing I've ever seen, gave a listen to Whole Lotta Love and it sounds like those old Guitar Hero tracks when they couldn't get the master tracks so they just covered the song as close to the original as they can.
