Agreed...they're just pulling songs from albums that released weeks earlier that I've already listened to. Then they're really stretching "recommended" new tracks.
I miss when album release days has actually good releases. I can’t recall the last time I was excited for a new music Friday (this year).
There's been plenty of good music this year lol if you don't think there is then you clearly aren't actively looking
Singles: John Prine, Luke Bryan, FEVER333, MattyPasq, Year of the Knife, The Acacia Strain Albums Sharptooth EP Hockey Dad EP Mike Frazier EP Val Astaire EP (Brian Joyce from Major League's solo pop project) Orchards Dreamland Sessions
I've had the exact opposite problem this year, I'm not revisiting really good releases from like January & February because really good stuff keeps dropping haha. Who are some of your favorite artists and what are you into currently? I'll gladly send all the recommendations I can
Norah Jones - Pick Me Up Off the Floor Bibio - Sleep On The Wing Chloe x Halle - Ungodly Hour This Will Destroy You - Vespertine Foals = Collected Reworks Volume 1 Chromeo - Quarantine Casanova
Silverstein released this live EP to bandcamp that they each recorded from their homes: Quaranstein E.P., by Silverstein
And I so wish they would add a feature that allowed us to remove remixes from playlists as new songs. At this point, i'd rather 3-4 new songs followed by a message that says "there's just literally nothing else that's new right now" than them trying to fake it.
Agreed on both accounts. Also, my wife listened to Miranda Lambert at one point on my account, and my frickin Spotify thinks I love her. I literally blocked her as an artist in the app, and she still showed up in my new releases radar. It literally couldn't even let me play it because I blocked the artist. More granular control over dynamic playlists would be great. Also, just because I listened to a couple rappers at one point does not mean I love rap.
