Nothing for me this week but finally got around to checking out Origami Angel’s discography and holy crap…. Where have I been? So freaking good.

 

Listening to H.E.R. just a lil disappointed Chris Brown is on a track, but so far it is pretty great!

Also, highly recommend Left Field Messiah — summery/dancy/indie pop with former singer of Hot Hot Heat. The singles have been fabulous and expecting the same from this full length.

 

Probably need more time with it. My few listens didn't hit me with the faster melodic/accessible LTJ I show up for.

Edit: tried again and couldn't make it through. It's kinda meh. Switched to Five Iron Frenzy's incredible album...so good.

 

I also liked Silver Linings, and my initial reaction was the same as above. The Kill Lincoln song is good too. I’m pleased.

 

Incredible prog-emo record dropped today. Has elements of jazz, math rock, neosoul, and spoken word poetry thrown in there, and it's simply impeccable.

 

I listened to it about twice and was soooo bored. Nothing “bad” just so inessential.

That’s a good comparison! I was thinking of a good RIYL and thought maybe the Dear Hunter fans would dig this… there’s some Closure in Moscow thrown in there too
