Super impressed with the wristmeetrazor record. Heavy hitting the spot, I’ve listened to them before here or there but not focused. Scratches that mid 2000s post hardcore sound itch.
Had to give a shout because I pulled a handful of albums/EP’s from this post. The note on The First Rock Band on Mars was clutch! As a parent whose Last.fm is currently under siege from Twenty Trucks, I appreciate big names from the scene making kid-friendly/focused pop punk as a fun alternative to the popular, mainstream kids songs of the day. Really cool.
Yeah, it's an interesting concept and I'm not sure it's something that any other band within the pop-punk esque genres have done before. It's certainly a good gateway for kids to listen to rock/pop-punk. And with your Wristmeetrazor comment, it is a great record. This one has a lot more melody and industrial influences to it, but if you like mid-2000s/MySpace era metalcore then definitely work backwards to their first album and their two EPs too.
