I really like the Relient k. Two songs in, I like the Bears Den.

Not much else out this week catches my eye. Slow month imo

Good Charlotte's new album is also available on Google Play now so I have been listening to that. Listened to a bit of Relient K last night and really liked what I heard.

 

Interested in that Despised Icon album.

Crown the Empire is meh. A few good songs, but nothing special.

 

Zero chance. This album isn't being sold physically in stores and has had terrible marketing.

 

Yeah, I went to 2 different record stores and nobody has the vinyl. The band isn't making cd copies yet. Not likely at all now

 

I was pretty bummed my go-to record store didn't have it, then my friend showed me a tweet from the band that the CD's weren't even made yet. And I saw on the band's web store that they'd stopped shipping out vinyl records because early shipments were having problems skipping.

Even so, I can't say RK ever had a chance. As far as Christian rock bands go, Switchfoot and Needtobreathe are still bigger. Switchfoot's latest only debuted at #10 and even Needtobreathe don't have a chance of dethroning Drake. However I just looked up the sales update and it look like Needtobreathe should debut #2 on the Billboard 200 (which includes streaming) and #1 on Album Sales (which excludes streaming). So good for them.

"umm..our album is out..buy it please?"

 

Yeah, extremely rough rollout, especially considering how great the album is.
