Trash Boat took me by surprise, I’m loving it. Excited for The Spill Canvas, Meg Myers, The Internet, and Eisley.
The new Four Fists singles are fierce! I hope this is just the first step towards them releasing an LP soon.
Wild Pink is excellent, so I'd highly recommend prioritizing that one. Listening to Khorada right now and it's really cool.
Khorada and Wild Pink are both on my to-listen-to list. I've just been enjoying this new Mutilation Rites album so much that I miiiight not get to most of this list today...so yeah. I'd also give The Lion's Daughter a listen if I were you. Based on what I know about your taste in metal, they seem right up your alley.
Brian Fallon released an acoustic version of If Your Prayers Don't Get To Heaven. It's pretty sweet. Whistles and everything.
Dead Hummingbird - 'Opera' (Former Post-Punk/Skramz band go full Post-Punk, PWYW on Bandcamp) Chelsea Jade - 'Personal Best' (Fans of the new Now, Now album should give this a go!) The Internet - 'Hive Mind' Katie Ellen - 'Still Life'
Real Friends really stepped up their game, literally everything about the album is so much better than anything they've ever done. Lyrics, vocals, production, huge choruses... I had never heard of Save Face but I've listened to that album several times this week, it's really good. Can't wait to see them with The Early November/The Dangerous Summer/Jetty Bones
Second the Found Wild rec above. It is Tim and Keith from Good Old War. Not much different from GOW but with the other one singing.
Pretty weak release day. Still digesting Wild Pink, but that's really the only album I like this week.
I hate self promotion but I would be loathe if I didn't mention my band Brigands put out a new record today. I'm also a huge GOW fan so I'm stoked to just learn about this Found Wild project.
