Definitely one of the bigger scene bands currently, & have been for 5-6 years now. Their 1st full length hit like 20 something on Billboard 200, & their second was top 50 or something I think. I don't think they'll have any trouble cracking top 50 again next week with this release, it's got a lot of positive reviews, even from the detractors.
Both Deafheaven and RF are very good. Also checking out Amy Shark, BTBAM, Wet, Lydia, and Keef. Busy week
DREAMERS released a new EP (4 songs) called "Launch" today. Pretty good stuff, and always nice to see new material from these fellas!
Between You & Me - Everything Is Temporary (Hopeless Records) Also out today and it surprised me so much that after first listens of each record I like this one more than the Real Friends release. Love Amy Shark too.
Hopesfall's album ruuuuules! I'm also gonna check out Amy Shark's because I really loved "Pyscho", and I'll also check out Real Friends since everyone seems to be gushing about it today.
BIG WEEK! I probably won't be able to get through all of these today, but this is my list: Amy Shark Between the Buried and Me Black Fast Birds In Row Covet Deafheaven Dollar Signs Dusk of Us Hopesfall Jenn Champion Jupiter Styles Lemuria Lydia Obscura Rayland Baxter Real Friends Save Face Wet I've already heard Deafheaven, Dollar Signs, Hopesfall, and Real Friends and I will definitely be coming back to all of those
Hopesfall Lydia Between the Buried and Me Rayland Baxter Real Friends Deafhaven Joey Bada$$ Most I’ve had to check out in a week all year...
Ahhhhh HOPESFALL ahhhhhh And the track Voice of Trespass is great on the new BTBAM album. Never got into Real Friends but I’ll check out the new one.
I really thought that Deafheaven wouldn't be my thing anymore, since I rarely listen to Sunbather anymore and never really got into New Bermuda, but I'm totally loving the new album.
Composure is Real Friends best album yet! Loving it. Also loving Merci by Save Face! Very Microwaveish. Really great album.
Odd being from NC, and seeing my two favorite NC bands releasing an album on the same day. All I needed was a new codeseven album thrown in there and I'd be living melodic hardcore/metal heaven.
I overlooked Real Friends on their previous releases but this new album is great and I enjoyed them at Warped today. It is just insane how much it reminds me/sounds like the Starting Line to me though.
